The United States Invites Uzbekistan to Join the Peace Council under the Comprehensive Middle East Plan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has received an official invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join an international initiative aimed at promoting peace in the Middle East and resolving regional conflicts.
In the letter sent by the U.S. side, it is noted that the initiative is based on the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, announced on September 29, 2025. The plan has received support from global leaders and was endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 2803 on 17 November 2025.
A central element of the initiative is the establishment of a Peace Council, a new international body designed to bring together states willing to take responsibility for fostering long-term peace, stability, and security. Uzbekistan has been invited to join the Peace Council as a founding member state.
In response to the invitation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter to Donald Trump, expressing Uzbekistan’s readiness to participate in the Peace Council at the level of a founding member state.
In his message, the President emphasized that the initiative is regarded as a significant step toward resolving longstanding conflicts in the Middle East and ensuring peace and stability in the region.
