Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Union of Architects and Engineers of the Turkic World proclaimed 2021-2022 the Year of Mirzo Ulugbek, Dunyo news agency reported.
This was announced at a ceremony held yesterday at Gazi University (Ankara). The decision to declare 2021-2022 the Year of Mirzo Ulugbek was made taking into account the enormous contribution of this statesman and great scientist to science and the development of world civilization as a whole.
Speakers at the event praised the efforts of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to restore and strengthen relations between Uzbek-Turkish relations, welcomed the expansion of interaction, especially in the areas of construction and architecture.
The Union of Architects and Engineers of the Turkic World expressed its readiness to assist in the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan, as well as the establishment of a modern educational process in the field of architecture and construction.
The participants of the event agreed to discuss the issue of holding a Forum in the hometown of Mirzo Ulugbek - Samarkand in June 2022 with the participation of board members of the Union of Architects and Engineers of the Turkic World to discuss topical issues of the development of the sphere of urban planning, architecture and construction engineering.
