Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law “On approval of the Town-planning Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

Several basic concepts are incorporated in the Code, such as “unique and especially important objects”, “objects of advertising and information”, “residential properties”, “urbanization” and others.

This Code clearly defines the basic principles of urban planning activities.

The norms on public control and its types, subjects in the field of urban planning activities have been fixed.

It was established to ensure the participation of public control in the discussion of decisions in this area.

The Code includes norms that determine the main areas of compensation for losses to legal entities and individuals, as well as the procedure for developing and concluding a state contract for the fulfilling of a contract, the implementation of a contract strictly based on a contract.

Additionally, the rights and obligations of experts are indicated during the examination of urban planning documents.

Momentarily, foreign individuals and legal entities can also be subjects of urban planning activities.

The Law comes into force upon the expiration of 3 months from the date of its official publication.
