Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 January 2022, the total number of cars owned by individuals made up 3.05 million units. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The leading positions in terms of the number of cars by regions are occupied by the city of Tashkent (503.0 thousand units or 16.5% of the total) and Samarkand region (366.7 thousand units or 12.0% of the total).

Relatively low rates were noted in Syrdarya (60.8 thousand units or 2.0%), as well as Jizzakh (85.9 thousand units or 2.8%) regions.

As of 1 January 022 (based on the results of a technical inspection), the total number of vehicles owned by individuals in the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 3.27 million units, which is 10.6% more than last year.

Total Vehicles:

- passenger cars - 3.05 million units. (growth rate against the previous year 10.3%);

- trucks - 195.8 thousand units;

- buses - 6.9 thousand units;

- minibuses - 8.9 thousand units;

- special vehicles - 5.2 thousand units.
