The Third Forum of Women Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus Held in Vitebsk

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 September 2025, the plenary session of the Third Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus was held in Vitebsk, Republic of Belarus, under the theme “Uzbekistan – Belarus: Cooperation as a Factor of Sustainable Development.”

The forum opened with welcoming remarks by Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva and Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova. At the opening ceremony, messages from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko were also read, with special emphasis placed on the development of business cooperation involving women.

During the event, participants discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, focusing particularly on supporting women’s entrepreneurship, strengthening trade and economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two countries.

The forum proved highly productive: 10 commercial agreements, 3 memoranda of understanding, 27 contracts, and 4 “road maps” were signed, with a total value exceeding US$140 million. These results underscore the trust-based and promising relations between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

The event brought together more than 200 entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Belarus, including 60 women from Uzbekistan who presented projects in various sectors and explored opportunities for further cooperation.

Participants noted that the forum laid a solid foundation for expanding bilateral engagement, implementing new initiatives, and launching joint projects. Following the session, a declaration of the Third Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus was adopted, outlining priority areas for future cooperation.

It was announced that the Fourth Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs is planned to be held in one of Uzbekistan’s historic cities.
