Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- This morning, on 25 March, Tashkent International Airport received the third national Airbus A321neo LR of Uzbekistan Airways. By tradition, the plane was solemnly greeted with a water arch.

According to the national airline, the new A321LR aircraft made a direct flight lasting 5 hours and 30 minutes from Hamburg (Germany), where one of the Airbus assembly plants is located. It was piloted by the crew of Uzbekistan Airways - Dilyaver Karabash and Shokhrukh Rakhimov.

The aircraft is designed for 188 passengers (16 seats in business class, 172 in economy class). The aircraft is planned to operate on regional and long-haul routes. By the end of the year, UzAirways will receive two more aircraft of this model.

The Airbus A321neo LR is a more modernized version of the Airbus A321 passenger airliner with new generation engines and larger sharklets. In addition, the aircraft has an increased flight range.
