Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Topical issues of regional security in the CIS space were discussed. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The challenges and threats to international security in modern conditions, including nuclear and radiation safety, were considered in general.
Special attention was paid to countering threats to the security of the CIS member states, formed as a result of the activities of international terrorist organizations on the territory of Afghanistan.
The issues related to the destructive activities carried out on the territory of the CIS countries by foreign non-governmental organizations and the media are touched upon.
In addition, measures were discussed to counter the glorification of fascism and the falsification of history in the CIS.
The discussion of the issues on the agenda showed the interest of the security councils of the Commonwealth countries in full-scale cooperation in solving topical issues of ensuring security.
Concrete proposals were made aimed at intensifying cooperation between the CIS countries in the field of security. Coordinated measures have been outlined for the interaction of the competent authorities of the CIS countries in 2023.
The exchange of views that took place confirmed the relevance of holding annual meetings of the secretaries of the security councils of the CIS member states.
