Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution "On measures to develop study and stimulate research in the field of forestry".

In accordance with the document, starting from February 1, 2021, the following steps will be adopted and formed:

Department for coordination of activities of scientific organizations and implementation of innovations in the State Committee on Forestry;

Scientific experimental pistachio station in the form of a state institution and the Department of Forest Economics at the Scientific Research Institute of Forestry.

Moreover, the Center for the Analysis of Seed Production of Forest and Medicinal Plants is abolished and transferred to the Scientific Research Institute of Forestry.

On the basis of the State Unitary Enterprise “Urmonloyikha”, the design institute “Urmonloyikha” will be created in the form of a state institution.

The Resolution approved the main tasks and activities of the institute.

5 percent of total receipts to the Forestry Development Fund are directed to support the activities of the Forestry Research Institute and scientific organizations of its system, as well as material incentives for their employees.
