Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approving the provisions on the procedures for awarding state grants to talented students of the Yangi Ozbekiston University", as well as providing subsidies to graduates of Presidential schools who entered on a tuition fee basis - on a contract basis to foreign and non-state higher educational institutions, as well as branches of the former operating in Uzbekistan.

According to the Regulation, in order to support the education of talented students of the Yangi Ozbekiston University, a state grant is allocated: 

graduates of Presidential schools who have a diploma or certificate of international level programs (International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, International Advanced Levels); 

graduates of creative and specialized schools in the system of the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) on the basis of entrance examinations in accordance with the admission parameters; 

winners of international olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science and successfully passed the entrance exams to the university;

citizens of Uzbekistan who scored high in the entrance exams of the university;

children of families included in the Unified Register of Social Protection and who successfully passed the entrance exams to the university.

The grant is allocated in accordance with the quota established for each area of education upon agreement with the Agency. At the same time, the grant is issued only for students enrolled in full-time education.

In accordance with the Regulations, the Agency maintains a general record of the number of graduates of the Presidential Schools for the purpose of issuing subsidies to cover the contract in higher education institutions. The applicant has the right to apply to the Agency no later than December 15 annually, attaching to the application a certificate of admission to the university, as well as an agreement on training on a fee-based contract basis. 

The Agency considers the application within three days and, based on its results, signs a tripartite agreement between the Agency, the applicant and the university to cover the contract amount not exceeding 100 sizes of basic estimated value. 

If the contract amount is less than 100 sizes of basic estimated value, then the Agency covers the entire amount. At the same time, the recipient of the subsidy upon graduation from the university in the direction of the Agency is obliged to work in full working mode for 5 years in his specialization in organizations of the republic, regardless of the form of ownership.
