Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan has been postponed. This was reported by the Kabar agency quoting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to them, the decision was made following the results of negotiations between the heads of state of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
“Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov will come to the final meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council,” the message says.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized that the visit of the President of Uzbekistan was not canceled, but postponed and will take place separately from the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting until the end of 2022.
Earlier it was reported that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will arrive in Kyrgyzstan on 9 December to attend a meeting of the heads of state of the EAEU. On 10 December, the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan was to take place, within the framework of which it was planned to sign a number of documents, including on the procedure for simplifying the crossing of the state border and the exchange of instruments of ratification along the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border.
