Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to create more favorable conditions for citizens when assigning pensions and benefits, the following changes are introduced from 1 June:
- for the period when the electronic database on wages and length of service was not kept when assigning a pension - until 2005 - no supporting documents are required, the pension is calculated on the basis of the entries in the work book;
- the verification and collection of excessive payments for assigned or recalculated pensions and benefits for a period exceeding three years is canceled;
- workers are given the right on a voluntary basis to pay monthly social tax from their own income so that non-working spouses can receive a pension in the future;
- pensions and benefits are assigned and paid at the request of a citizen at the place of permanent registration or place of temporary residence;
- applications for receiving pensions and benefits in non-cash form are drawn up by citizens by opening plastic cards in banks or through mobile applications without contacting the offices of the off-budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance;
- the obligation to visit the Pension Fund every six months by recipients of non-cash pensions and to conduct on-site monitoring is canceled, with the introduction of a procedure for determining the loss of a citizen's right to a pension based on electronic information provided by the relevant departments.
It is also planned to write off the debt in the amount of overpayment as of 1 February 2021, determined as a result of checks on the correctness of the appointment and payment of pensions and benefits.
