Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 May 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met in the Vatican with the regent of the prefecture of the Pontifical House (head of administration), Monsignor Leonardo Sapienza.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects of the Uzbek-Vatican cooperation.

The parties noted the achievements over the past 30 years in the mutual deepening of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.

An agreement was reached to continue active work to further strengthen interfaith cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Holy See at various levels.
