Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2021, Uzbekistan plans to triple the amount of temporary unemployment benefits. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated this in his message to parliament.

The head of the country noted that it is impossible to allow people who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic to become poor.

“Therefore, starting next year, the amount of temporary unemployment benefits will be increased 3 times,” he said.

The President ordered to abolish the “outdated bureaucratic procedure” for the provision of 6 documents for receiving temporary unemployment benefits.
