Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 March 2022, the sixth round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mongolia took place via videoconference.
The delegations, headed by Deputy Foreign Ministers Furkat Sidikov and Batsumber Munkhzhin, discussed topical issues of Uzbek-Mongolian cooperation in various fields.
Mutual interest in intensifying political contacts, developing inter-parliamentary dialogue, and expanding the legal framework was emphasized.
An exchange of views took place on the international and regional agenda, as well as various aspects of the interaction of the parties within the framework of international institutions.
The parties noted the importance of more efficient use of the potential of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.
During the consultations, proposals for building up ties in the cultural and humanitarian field were also considered.
