The Share of Large Families in Uzbekistan Is Growing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The proportion of large households in Uzbekistan continues to rise. According to sample surveys conducted by the National Statistical Committee in 2025, families with four or more children now account for 8.9% of all households in the country.

By comparison, this figure was lower in previous years: 7.9% in 2015, 7.2% in 2020, and 7.3% in 2024.

Thus, 2025 saw a noticeable increase in the number of large families, reflecting a growing trend toward bigger households in Uzbekistan.
