Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 26 December 2020, at 17:00 hours, traffic was opened and trains began running on the Sergeli line of the Tashkent Metro.

Due to the opening of the Sergeli line, the Olmazar station was closed for technical reasons.

Today, from 17:00 to 08:00 on 1 January 2021, travel on the new Sergeli line will be free. If the passenger travels from the Chilanzar line (including from the Olmazar station), the journey will be paid.

Five stations have been built on the 7-kilometer line. At the junction of the line with the Olmazor metro station of the Chilanzar line, a 580-meter bridging tunnel has been laid, and underground and overhead crossings have been built.
