Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the Meeting of Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the SCO Member States, a delegation of the General Secretariat of the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol arrived in Tashkent on a working visit.
During the Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the SCO Member States, a delegation of the General Secretariat of the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol, headed by the Executive Director of Police Services of the organization, Mr. Stephen Kavanagh, arrived in Tashkent on a working visit.
Within the visit of the delegation of the General Secretariat, a meeting was held with the leadership and staff of the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol, where the most pressing problems, tasks and ways to solve them both at the international and regional levels were discussed.
During the visit to the bureau, in a solemn atmosphere, certificates were presented to representatives of various services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and involved departments of the republic, who successfully completed online training courses on the topics "Biometric parameters and international data exchange" and "Police capabilities of Interpol", organized by the General Secretariat.
During the visit of the delegation of the General Secretariat of Interpol, a high assessment was given to the activities of the NCB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its aspiration to further build up and strengthen its potential in combating transnational crime in the name of strengthening peace.
