Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Glushko met with Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov and First Deputy Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Usman Sharifkhodjaev in Tashkent.
An agreement was signed between the A. Avloni Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Leaders and Specialists of the Public Education System and the International Education Center “Interdom” named after E.D. Stasova on the implementation of educational and methodological work. According to the agreement, in 2021, Russian teachers of the Russian language and subject teachers will work in schools in Uzbekistan.
The signing of the document marked the beginning of the second stage of the joint Russian-Uzbek humanitarian project "Cool!", Which is being implemented by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation jointly with the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan with financial support from the Alisher Usmanov Charity Foundation "Art, Science and Sport".
Before being sent to work in Uzbekistan, Russian teachers will undergo training based on the results of monitoring the level of knowledge and teaching of the Russian language conducted among Uzbek students and Russian language teachers as part of the first stage of the "Cool!" Project.
During the meeting, the results of the work carried out were presented: in October - December 2020, more than 1,000 schoolchildren and more than 4,000 teachers passed the test in Russian as a foreign language.
Humanitarian project "Cool!" is a continuation of the Russian Teacher Abroad program of the Ministry of Education of Russia, in which Russian teachers teach Russian and subjects in Russian in a number of foreign countries, helping to improve the quality of Russian language teaching and promoting the development of education.
Implementation of the project "Cool!" will contribute to the formation of stable ties between teachers of Russia and Uzbekistan, the convergence of pedagogical approaches and the creation of conditions for the further expansion of Russian-Uzbek bilateral cooperation.
