Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Experts from the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) conducted a linguistic analysis of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s speech at a meeting with entrepreneurs. Using a cloud of words, analysts determined what the head of state focused on the most.
Today, on 22 August 2022, the second open dialogue between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and entrepreneurs was held at the Congress Hall in Tashkent. During the open dialogue, more than 12,000 urgent problematic issues received from entrepreneurs, ways to solve them, as well as proposals and initiatives to improve the business environment in the country, were discussed.
About 3 thousand requests received from entrepreneurs related to the implementation of new projects, business expansion and increase in working capital of entrepreneurs.
1.5 thousand entrepreneurs expressed their objections regarding the complexity of tax administration and audits.
More than 2 thousand appeals are connected with connection to the infrastructure and allocation of land. The appeals reflect that the inviolability of property and interference in business activities are of serious concern to business representatives.
Based on these appeals, the head of state announced initiatives in 5 areas regarding support for representatives of this area.
The results of the linguistic analysis of the speech (from the original language) of the President showed what the head of state pays more attention to. So. in total, the head of state used 3445 words in his speech.
The words most often mentioned by the President were “entrepreneur,” “business,” “taxes,” “banking,” and “loans.” In particular, the word "entrepreneur" was mentioned 86 times, the word "business" - 43 times, the word "tax" - 40 times, and "bank" and related words - 21 times.
The analysis showed that the most pressing problems of entrepreneurs are taxes and loans. Touching upon the topic of taxes, the head of state said that the policy of reducing the tax burden on business would be continued, including the reduction of the value added tax rate to 12% from January 1, 2023.
In addition, since 1 July of this year, the application of increased rates of property and land tax to unused buildings and land plots has been canceled.
At the same time, it was noted that there were many complaints that 19,000 entrepreneurs are concerned about issues related to the calculation of taxes at inflated rates.
Taking this into account, it was said that the debts of entrepreneurs in the amount of 2 trillion soums, calculated at increased tax rates, would be completely written off.
