Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The second meeting of the Uzbek-Azerbaijan Business Council was held.

The event was attended by the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, co-chairman of the Uzbek-Azerbaijan Business Council A. Ikramov, President of the National Confederation of Organizations of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), co-chairman of the Azerbaijani part of the Business Council M. Musaev, as well as representatives of the responsible ministries and witchcraft and business circles of the two countries.

The Business Council was opened by the President of the National Confederation of Organizations of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK), co-chairman of the Azerbaijani part of the Business Council M. Musayev. He highly appreciated the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan, as well as the opportunities created for entrepreneurs, noting that cooperation with Uzbekistan is a great honor and a real responsibility.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, co-chairman of the Uzbek part of the Business Council A. Ikramov noted that thanks to the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, the business circles of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are increasingly expanding areas of joint cooperation and are implementing new joint projects.

During the event, business representatives of the two countries discussed in detail the issues of investment cooperation and infrastructure projects in various fields.

Representatives of specialized organizations presented the investment potential and existing cooperation opportunities in various fields of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

During the presentations, open dialogues were held, a number of issues were resolved, and oral agreements were reached on the implementation of projects.

About 178 enterprises with the participation of Azerbaijani capital operate on the territory of Uzbekistan, of which 63 are joint ventures and 115 enterprises with 100% foreign capital.

Only for the period from January to September 2021. the trade turnover between our countries is US$73 million, including export - US$44.6 million and import - US$28.4 million
