The Second Entrance at “Hamid Alimdjan” Metro Station Reopens
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The second entrance at Tashkent Metro’s “Hamid Alimdjan” station has reopened to passengers following the completion of scheduled maintenance work.
As part of the renovation, the outdated escalator was completely removed and replaced with a modern, energy-efficient lifting system equipped with sensor-based safety features that comply with current technical and operational standards.
The upgraded escalator began serving passengers on the morning of 19 January 2026, improving the station’s capacity and enhancing comfort for metro users.
The Tashkent Metro State Unitary Enterprise continues to implement measures aimed at modernizing infrastructure, increasing safety, and providing more convenient and high-quality conditions for passengers.
