The Second Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan to Be Held in Moscow Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Second Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan will take place on 21–22 October 2025 in the Moscow Region. The event serves as a key platform for discussing issues of interregional cooperation between the two countries.

The forum is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Government of the Moscow Region. The Russian delegation will be headed by Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, while the Uzbek delegation will be led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

The Council’s program includes a series of events aimed at strengthening Russian–Uzbek cooperation. The agenda features a plenary session, meetings of the Russia–Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan–Russia Business Councils, and thematic panel discussions on key areas such as prospects for e-commerce, industrial investment, coordination in transport and logistics, implementation of energy projects, and cooperation in the agro-industrial sector.

At the conclusion of the Second Council, participants are expected to identify new areas of collaboration, sign specific agreements between regional and business entities of the two countries, and outline practical steps to overcome existing barriers to trade and economic development.
