Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation and the IFP School of the French Oil Institute, Dunyo news agency reported.

The IFP School (l’Institut français du pétrole) was founded in 1954 and is part of the French Research Institute for Oil, Fuel and Lubricants IFPEN. It provides graduate programs in 17 areas, 7 of which are in English. Graduates specialists in the field of petrochemistry, oil refining, gas and renewable energy sources. 80% of students study at the expense of industrial entities, about half of the students are foreigners. The employment rate of graduates is 90%.

The memorandum, the signing of which was worked out by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Paris, provides for the sending of undergraduates and doctoral students of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation to France to undergo training and research at the IFP School, the participation of domestic specialists in seminars, trainings, and internships. offered by a French educational institution.

The agreement to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions was reached during the visit of the IFP School delegation to Tashkent last December, during which meetings were also organized at the Tashkent State Technical University and the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
