The Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University was established

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University was established by the resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan. This is reported by the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the resolution, the Branch will begin its activities from the 2020/2021 academic year.

One of the main tasks of the Branch is to train personnel with modern knowledge and skills in the application of innovative advanced resource-saving technologies in agriculture, the introduction of Smart agriculture and digital agricultural technologies.

The resolution approved the quotas for admission to the Branch in areas and specialties of training bachelors and masters for the 2020/2021 academic year.

According to this, the admission quota in the areas of undergraduate studies is defined in the amount of 475 (of which 95 are under a state grant, 380 are on a paid-contract basis), as well as 40 for master’s specialties (under a state grant).

Starting from the 2020/2021 academic year in the direction of undergraduate education, a credit-modular education system will be introduced, while studies will be 5 days a week, and Saturday will be considered a day of independent development.

Also, in the Branch, jointly with the Grodno State Agrarian University of the Republic of Belarus, joint educational programs (double degree) in the field of agriculture will be carried out.
