Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 February this year, information was published on social networks about the flight HY-271 in the direction of Tashkent-Istanbul, which was carried out in the airspace of the Black Sea.
On 19 February, an Uzbekistan Airways aircraft operated a regular flight HY-271 on the Tashkent-Istanbul route, Uzbekistan Airways notes.
The flight route of each flight is chosen by the airline based on a thorough analysis of flight safety and the situation in the airspace of all states through which the flight will pass, the airline said in a statement.
At the time of this flight, there was no aeronautical information restricting flights on this route.
On 19 February, based on safety requirements, a flight was planned over the airspace of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, the Russian Federation, the North Caucasus, the Black Sea and Turkey, the airline emphasizes.
Uzbekistan Airways notes that the airspace over the Black Sea was completely open and safe. In the same area and in the same period of time, the Boeing 757 aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways and many other air carriers from Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iraq and other countries carried out their flights.
Traditionally, the safety of aircraft traffic over the Black Sea was uninterruptedly ensured by the air traffic services of Russia (Rostov Air Traffic Control Center) and Turkey (Ankara’s flight information area). And also, the dispatcher of the Rostov air traffic control center allowed the airline crew to enter and use the airspace over the Black Sea and continued the flight along the specified route.
It is important to emphasize that if any restrictions are introduced, the airline, taking into account the safety of the flight of passengers, the airline crew considers alternative flight routes, taking into account the overflight of areas with restrictions.
It is important to note that there were 155 passengers on flight HY-271, whose safety was not in danger. The flight was carried out strictly according to the established schedule and in compliance with all international standards of safe air service.
