Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As previously reported, on 25 February 2020, the opening of the II Forum of inter-regional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and the exhibition of products of leading enterprises of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took place in Urgench, as well as a business meeting in the format of B2B with the participation of business circles of the two countries was held.
Based on the results of meetings held in the format of a cooperation exchange, business circles of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan reached an agreement in the amount of US$14.6 million, in particular, between JSC Kentau Transformer Plant (Kazakhstan) and Sitan LLC (Uzbekistan) at US$10 million, Ordabasy Kus LLP (Kazakhstan) and DEMESNE TRADE LLC (Uzbekistan) for US$2.156 million, Lukoil Lubricants Central Asia LLP (Kazakhstan) and LLC Prestij Oil ”(Uzbekistan) in the amount of US$2.5 million.
Within the framework of the enlarged meeting of the Forum with the participation of the Prime Ministers of the two countries, an Action Plan (“Road Map”) was signed to implement the provisions of the Agreement on the establishment of a Business Council between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan for 2020-2021.
Also during this event, an exhibition of products from leading enterprises of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was organized. At this event, headed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of territorial divisions of the CCI and 300 entrepreneurs from 8 regions of Uzbekistan took part.
On the foreign side, representatives of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce and 100 business representatives from 12 regions of Kazakhstan participated.
The exhibition featured products of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Navoi, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Khorezm, Tashkent and other regions of the Republic in various industries.
