The region of Uzbekistan leading in bird population
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Statistics Agency has released preliminary data on the bird population in Uzbekistan as of 1 January 2025.
According to the information, the total bird population in the country reached 106.6 million heads, which is a 3.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Tashkent Region leads in bird population with 17.7 million heads, followed by Samarkand Region with 15.5 million, and Andijan Region with 11 million.

Tashkent Region – 17.7 million heads
Samarkand Region – 15.5 million heads
Andijan Region – 11 million heads
Fergana Region – 8.9 million heads
Bukhara Region – 8.2 million heads
Namangan Region – 7.3 million heads
Khorezm Region – 7.2 million heads
Kashkadarya Region – 6.9 million heads
Surkhandarya Region – 5.5 million heads
Republic of Karakalpakstan – 5.4 million heads
Syrdarya Region – 5.1 million heads
Jizzakh Region – 4 million heads
Navoi Region – 3.6 million heads
The growth in bird population is linked to the development of poultry farming and increased production of meat and eggs. The government is actively supporting farmers by providing subsidies and concessional loans to develop the sector.
Experts predict further growth in the bird population in Uzbekistan thanks to the implementation of modern technologies and increased investments in agriculture.
