Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Decree "On a new development strategy for Uzbekistan for 2022-2026" was adopted.
The decree approved the New Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, developed according to the principle “From Action Strategy to Development Strategy”, and the state program for its implementation in the “Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Development of the Mahalla”.
According to the Program, in 2022:
In order to develop public services:
- when issuing and exchanging documents, the practice of providing interdependent public services without waiting for an appeal will be established;
- The project "Digital Citizen Passport" will eliminate the need for documents such as birth certificates and driver's licenses, certificates and diplomas;
- simplifies the provision of public services to the elderly and disabled.
To ensure the rule of law:
- a procedure is introduced for providing free legal assistance to socially unprotected citizens at the expense of the state both in civil and administrative cases;
- a procedure is introduced in accordance with which the obligation to prove in an administrative court that a decision or action is not illegal is assigned to the official who made it;
- a unified online electronic register of persons with limited freedom of movement is maintained.
Also, the provision of a “package of primary social and material assistance” to citizens serving sentences is being introduced.
In this system, one-time material assistance is provided to persons who have specific projects in the field of entrepreneurship, architecture, and crafts.
