Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev visited the Ministry of Innovative Development, where he got acquainted with the current results of the Ministry’s activities and plans for the implementation of the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022- 2026 years.
In particular, an exhibition of innovative developments, research results and start-up products was attended, after which the leadership of the Ministry of Innovations presented a presentation on the results achieved and planned measures to implement the Strategy.
The following figures are given: a total of 441 projects are planned to be implemented in 31 sectoral areas, of which 215 are already underway. To date, 889.2 billion soums have been allocated for the implementation of projects. For 28 regions of the country identified in the Strategy as innovative, a concept of innovative development has been developed, and training for heads of local authorities has been organized.
In 58 universities of the country in 2022-2023, it is planned to implement 377 projects to introduce new developments and technologies in the amount of 217.8 billion soums.
Also developed and approved are performance indicators (KPIs) of chief directors for the implementation of innovations, ratings of innovative activities of enterprises in the industry, universities, and estimated ratings of regions for the implementation of innovations.
During the visit, based on the study of the proposals of the Ministry of Innovation, a number of instructions were given to accelerate the implementation of the Innovative Development Strategy.
