Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a meeting of the Republican Headquarters, organized to promptly and systematically address issues of balanced provision of the population and sectors of the economy with energy resources, cases of illegal use of gas were seriously criticized, despite the temporary restrictions imposed.
“For example, a brick factory in Almalyk turned off the online modem in gas meters, “zeroed” the indicators and illegally connected to gas networks. The most interesting thing is that when this became clear, the regional prosecutor asked the responsible persons of the Presidential Administration not to disconnect this plant from the network. Does the prosecutor have his own interest in this illegal connection?” head of the Administration of President Sardor Umurzakov asked.
According to the head of the Administration, the owners of this plant have another plant in Angren. When they heard that a commission headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov had arrived in Almalyk, they immediately closed the Angren plant. It is indicated that if violations of the law are revealed at the Angren plant, a separate case will also be initiated on this circumstance.
“We will find those behind the likes of them. Whether it is a khokim, a prosecutor or a tax officer, there is no difference. If there is a case of collusion with the entrepreneur, they will be held accountable. The issue of at least the inaction of the leaders of the region will also be considered,” the head of the Administration said.
