The procedure for registering births in the registry offices through medical institutions has been introduced in the capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 January 2023, the procedure for registering births in the registry offices through medical institutions has been introduced in the city of Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Justice said.

Now, at the birth of a child, the medical institution enters in a special electronic form and automatically sends to the registry office through the information system information about him and his parents, including the clinic and department of internal affairs where the child will be registered, about the state preschool educational organization, where it will be queued.

The registry office registers the birth and sends a birth certificate with a QR code (matrix barcode) to the medical institution.

Medical institutions provide the parents of the child with a certificate.

This certificate is equivalent to a stamp birth certificate and refusal to accept it by state bodies and organizations is prohibited.

A stamp birth certificate is issued by the registry offices on the basis of citizens' appeals at any time according to the extraterritorial principle.

When registering a birth on the basis of a statement of paternity and a statement from a single mother, as well as when registering the birth of a found (abandoned) child, you must contact the registry office directly.

This procedure will be introduced throughout Uzbekistan from 1 June 2023.
