Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– The Government resolution “On measures to regulate the licensing of refining activities” was adopted.
In accordance with the resolution, starting from 15 March 2020, refining activities will be carried out by legal entities on the basis of a license issued by the State Assay Chamber under the Ministry of Finance.
A license for the right to engage in refining activities will be issued only through public service centers (TSU) or the Unified portal of interactive public services (EPIGU).
The resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for licensing refining activities.
According to the Regulation, a license for the right to engage in refining activities will be issued for a period of 10 years with subsequent renewal.
Refining activities include services for the processing and separation of precious metals, their non-return or return after the refining process.
The applicant personally appeals to the TSU or sends a standard application for a license through EPIGU.
Regardless of the method of filing the application, the licensing authority decides to issue or refuse to issue a license within the following terms, not exceeding the date of application acceptance:
- to obtain a license - 5 working days;
- for renewal of the license, its renewal - 2 business days;
- to terminate the activity of their own free will - 8 working hours.
For consideration of the application, a fee of 5 times the amount of base estimate value (1,115,000 soums) and a state fee of the same amount are charged (if the application is sent through EPIGU, 90 percent of the established amount of the fee and state duty (1,003,500 soums) will be charged).
