Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan signed a decree “On measures to regulate the activities of cotton clusters”.
The decree approved the Republican Commission for the Coordination of the Activities of Cotton and Textile Clusters.
The commission is considering applications for the creation of cotton clusters.
The clusters are created by the decision of the Government on the basis of the conclusion of the commission, the contract is concluded with the applicant for thirty years.
The transaction is terminated only in court in the following cases:
when one of the parties is against;
in case of untimely fulfillment of obligations under the transaction;
appeals of two-thirds of agricultural producers about non-fulfillment of contract terms by clusters within 3 years.
When organizing a cluster, preference is given to an applicant with its own processing capacity of at least 50% of the cotton grown or purchased.
International auditors are involved in the audit of clusters with an annual cotton production of more than 30 thousand tons.
