The practice of teaching students 2 foreign languages and 1 profession to be introduced in phases in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the State Committee on Implementation of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026, the Year of Caring for a Person and Quality Education:

In order to improve the quality of education:

From 1 September 2023, 2 foreign languages and 1 profession will be introduced in a phased manner in one of the schools of each district (city);

From the academic year 2023/2024:

- Free meals will be provided to primary school pupils in all regions of the republic and in Tashkent city;

- State grants will also be provided for the dual form of education of colleges and technical schools;

From 1 April 2023, it will be permitted to organize the activities of new pre-school educational organizations on non-residential floors of apartment buildings or through the purchase of individually built housing and its further reconstruction, repair and equipment;

In order to provide the population with quality health care services:

- By 2023, 30 family polyclinics, 110 family doctor units and up to 520 mobile mahalla medical centres will be set up;

- The issuance of temporary disability certificates and other medical certificates will be gradually converted into electronic form (from 1 January 2024, the requirement for these certificates in paper form will be prohibited);

From 1 July 2023, public health insurance mechanisms will be introduced in Tashkent in a phased manner;

In order to ensure road safety:

- From 1 April 2023, in the cities of Tashkent and Nukus, as well as in provincial and district centres, reduce the maximum speed of vehicles from 70 kilometres to 60 kilometres per hour;

- Starting from 1 December 2023 the owner of the vehicle along with the person to whom the right to drive the vehicle has been transferred will be entitled to notify the State Traffic Police of the transfer of the right to drive the vehicle with the relevant documents of title (power of attorney, etc.).

At the same time, a procedure will be put in place for relevant changes to be made by the authorized body in the traffic police’s Unified Automated Information and Analysis System from the date of receipt of a notification, as well as registration of an administrative report in respect of the person to whom the right to drive has been transferred, for a violation of traffic rules committed in the vehicle in question.

There will also be a three-year moratorium on the introduction of new types of liability measures and sanctions for business entities from 1 July 2023.
