Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On measures to transform the surgical service, improve the quality and expand the scale of surgical operations in the regions" was adopted.
According to the Resolution:
10 billion soums will be allocated to the Ministry of Health in 2021 for the purchase of 500 units of medical devices (occluders) intended for the treatment of heart defects
starting in 2022, the required amount will be allocated for the annual purchase of an average of 2,500 occluders.
In 2021, the branches of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Surgery will be equipped with modern equipment worth 42.5 billion soums.
According to the Resolution, in 2022-2023:
the range of minimally invasive and high-tech surgical interventions is expanding;
the types of operations carried out in districts (cities) will be increased from 60 to 79, in regions - from 130 to 168;
the Center for Surgery will introduce heart and lung transplantation.
By the end of 2022, kidney transplantation will be organized in all regions.
The surgery center will create:
Scientific laboratory for transplantation of human organs and tissues;
From the 2021/2022 academic year, the Department of Surgery and Transplantology of the Tashkent Medical Academy will be organized.
From 1 November 2021, at the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers, retraining and advanced training of heads of republican specialized scientific and practical medical centers and other public medical institutions will be organized in short-term training courses in the direction of Healthcare Administration.
In the 2022/2023 academic year, measures will be taken to reimburse the costs associated with the training of 50 specialists-managers in the health sector in the direction of the Master of Healthcare Administration in the international Westminster and other universities in Tashkent on the basis of a state grant.
