Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In connection with the improvement of the institution for protecting the rights and legitimate interests of business entities, the plenary session of the Senate considered the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Amendments to Articles 245 and 2458 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility."
The law was developed in accordance with the State Program for the Implementation of the Strategy of Action for Five Priority Areas of Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the "Year of Support for Youth and Strengthening the Health of the Population."
The law is aimed at protecting the right to private property and preventing incidents of interference by officials in relations related to real estate.
In the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis of 29 December 2020, it was proposed to grant the Business Ombudsman the authority to bring officials of state bodies to administrative responsibility for violating the rights of entrepreneurs.
In order to eliminate these problematic situations related to the protection of private property, it is envisaged to improve the legislation, in particular, the Code of Administrative Responsibility establishes that the Commissioner under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities is entitled to consider cases on some administrative offenses relating to cases violation of the interests of entrepreneurs.
The law will serve to ensure the inviolability of private property, freedom of entrepreneurial activity, and further improve institutional mechanisms to strengthen the prevention of crime among officials.
The law was approved by the senators.
