Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 10 August this year, during a regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the people’s deputies considered in the second reading a draft law aimed at strengthening close ties with voters in the constituencies of deputies, timely identification of existing problems on the ground.

The bill stipulates the introduction of appropriate changes and additions to the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On political parties" and "On the status of a deputy of the Legislative Chamber and a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

In particular, the bill introduces the position of deputy assistant. Also, the requirements, responsibilities, employment and remuneration of the assistant to the deputy are determined.

As noted, this new institution will increase the efficiency of the deputies’ work.

At the meeting, the bill was adopted by the deputies in the second reading.
