Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 July 2020, a meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in the form of video conference. The meeting was chaired by Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairman of the Upper Chamber.
At the meeting, it was decided to convene the sixth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 7 August 2020.
During the plenary session, which is held in the form of videoconference, a number of issues will be considered.
Among them are the laws "On Education", "On Employment of the Population", "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan" On Counteracting Trafficking in Human Beings "," On the Administrative Territorial Structure of the Republic of Uzbekistan "," On Amendments and amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the protection of agricultural plants from pests, diseases and weeds."
In addition, consideration of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the further improvement of the processes of lawmaking and parliamentary control", "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the procedure for passing military service by citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan", "On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On private employment agencies".
At the same time, it is planned to consider the report of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the implementation in the first half of 2020 of the State program "Year of Science, Education and Digital Economy Development", as well as information from the Ministers of Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Employment and Labor Relations.
It is also envisaged to discuss the issue of sending parliamentary inquiries about measures to ensure the protection of the rights of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan temporarily working in the Russian Federation, about problems arising in the process of widespread involvement of the population, especially youth in physical culture and sports, to the Cabinet of Ministers, crimes such as the use of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment - to the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service.
