Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Aeroflot aircraft operating flight AFL-2870 on the St. Petersburg - Samarkand route made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan. The aircraft with 56 passengers on board landed at 10:56 local time at the airport in Kyzylorda.

The reason for the landing was a passenger, a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who needed emergency medical care due to heart problems. The crew decided to land the aircraft at the nearest airport.

After landing at the airport, the passenger was picked up by an ambulance and hospitalized to a medical facility for qualified medical care.
