Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Aeroflot aircraft operating flight AFL271 on the Bangkok-Moscow route made an emergency landing in Samarkand. The aircraft with 114 passengers on board landed at 17:52 local time at Samarkand airport. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.

The reason for the landing was a pregnant passenger who began premature contractions. The crew decided to land the aircraft at the nearest airport.

After landing at the airport, the passenger was picked up by an ambulance and hospitalized to a medical facility for qualified medical care.
