The overpass of Tashkent airport to open on July 10

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The movement of vehicles on the overpass to the terminal of international airlines Tashkent-2 will open from 10 July. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.

This decision was made in order to improve the quality of passenger service when departing from the capital's airport.

Considering that the area of the overpass (the total length of the platform is 110 meters, the width is 9.5 meters) does not allow movement of all vehicles, for the test period it is planned to open a passage to the departure terminal on the first level for licensed taxi vehicles that have concluded agreements with Tashkent International Airport Islam Karimov ", tourist buses and minibuses at the request of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, vehicles of foreign delegations, which are served through VIP and Business Lounge in accordance with the approved Rules of travel to the terminal of international airlines Tashkent-2.

The movement will be carried out strictly in accordance with road signs and information signs, taking into account all safety requirements.

The control and management system for vehicle access to the airport overpass can be conditionally divided into three parts - the entrance to the overpass, the platform with a canopy and the exit from the overpass.

The entrance to the overpass is equipped with two automatic barriers (for each lane) that automatically open if there are free places, a road barrier (anti-raid) informing about the presence or absence of free places with light boards, vehicle scanners (for each lane) to identify foreign objects, as well as an automated control observation point for the operator on duty. Intelligent video surveillance cameras are installed along the entire length of the overpass, which make it possible to recognize vehicle numbers, determine their type, and monitor their compliance with traffic rules.

It is also planned to introduce a modern automated parking system at the forecourt, using technology for recognizing license plates of cars and using automated terminals to pay for parking in cash and non-cash form.

Note that the Tashkent International Airport will face big changes. Among them - the reconstruction of the building of the international terminal and the station square, taking into account the increase in throughput at rush hour up to 1,200 passengers, the construction of a cargo terminal with an area of 7,500 square meters. m, designed to handle at least 70 thousand tons of cargo per year and 200-220 tons of cargo per day, an administrative building for the airport situation center and paramilitary structures, as well as parking spaces for vehicles. In addition, an overhaul of the artificial runway, taxiways and apron of the country's main air harbor will be carried out.
