Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Decree "On approval of the strategy for innovative development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026" was adopted.
The Decree approved the Strategy for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.
One of the main directions of the Strategy is to ensure the accelerated socio-economic growth of the regions by increasing the innovative activity of small businesses.
Also, in accordance with the Decree, target indicators for the implementation of the strategy and targets by regions were approved.
Within the target indicators:
- the number of subjects of innovative activity will be increased from 613 to 2,250;
- the number of innovative infrastructure entities will increase by 3 times;
- the number of new jobs created as a result of innovative entrepreneurship will increase by 4 times.
From 1 August 2022, it was decided to introduce a unified chain system "industry-region-scientific/higher educational organization" when creating the production of innovative products.
From 1 August 2022, the following incentive system for the creation of "disruptive" innovations is being introduced:
- local scientific organizations and enterprises are given the right to directly sign contracts with government agencies for innovative products;
- In business companies with a state share in the authorized capital of 50 percent or more, Funds for supporting innovation activities are created on special accounts of enterprises at the expense of deductions in the amount of up to 10 percent of profit before paying income tax.
Wherein:
- the funds will be directed to the creation and implementation of "disruptive" innovations;
- the portfolio of projects financed from the Fund's resources is coordinated with the Ministry of Innovative Development.
