The number of insurance organizations increased by 27% in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 July 2022, there are 42 insurance companies operating in Uzbekistan licensed to carry out insurance activities (an increase of 27% compared to the 1st half of 2019). Of these, 34 operate in the field of general insurance and 8 in life insurance. 

According to the indicators of the insurance market of Uzbekistan in the 1st half of 2022, more than 7.0 million insurance contracts were concluded (an increase of 6% compared to the 1st half of 2019), within which insurance premiums in the amount of 2.77 trillion soums were collected, this indicator increased by 63.2% compared to the same period last year (and 2.2 times compared to the first half of 2019).
