The ninth plenary session of the Senate to be held on 20 November

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 November 2020, a meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. The session was chaired by the Chairman of the upper house of parliament Tanzila Narbaeva.

The meeting adopted a resolution to convene the ninth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 20 November 2020.

During the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconference, it is planned to discuss a number of issues.

Among them are the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On state genomic registration", "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the further strengthening of guarantees of the rights and legitimate interests of owners", "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the measures taken to mitigate the negative impact on the economic sectors of the coronavirus pandemic and global crisis phenomena", "On establishment of the honorary title of the Republic of Uzbekistan "Uzbekiston Respublika hizmat kursatgan geologist", "On the establishment of the Day of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan."

In addition, it is planned to consider issues on the report of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the progress of the implementation of the State Program for the implementation of the Action Strategy in the Year of Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy during nine months of 2020, as well as the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the openness of state power and management ”by ministries, departments and local authorities.

In addition, it is planned to discuss issues of sending parliamentary inquiries to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures taken to increase the competitiveness of special economic zones of the country, on increasing the efficiency of medical examination of young people entering into marriage, on the state of implementation of legislation on ensuring the safety of settlements and economic objects located in the mountainous and foothill territories of the country, where there is a danger of floods, mudflows, landslides.

The results of parliamentary inquiries sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to ensure the protection of the rights of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan temporarily working in the Russian Federation, on the state of horticultural and viticultural associations and issues of improving their organizational and legal framework, on problems arising in the process of widespread involvement of the population, especially young people in physical education and sports, on the conditions created for the development of women's entrepreneurship, on the problems that have arisen on issues related to waste and their impact on public health will be discussed.
