The next stage of the investment project to increase the production capacity of the Shurtan gas chemical complex determined

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to ensure the implementation of the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to implement an investment project to increase the production capacity of the Shurtan gas chemical complex" and "On measures to implement the investment program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2023", construction and installation works are being carried out at an accelerated pace within the framework of the project at the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex.

A regular meeting of the intersectoral scientific and technical Council took place, dedicated to the work carried out within the framework of the investment project at the Shurtan gas chemical complex, and further measures.

It was attended by members of the intersectoral scientific and technical council of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, academicians of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, employees of UzLITIneftgaz JSC, Shurtan oil and gas production department and Shurtan gas chemical complex.

At the meeting, information was provided on the work carried out within the framework of the project, the conceptual state, the basic configuration of the facilities, the timing of the conclusion of contracts for the purchase of equipment, as well as the start of work on the preparation of the construction site.

At present, the design and procurement of equipment by the general contractor, Enter Engineering, continues.

As of 15 August 2921, the total number of engineers involved in the implementation of the project is more than 600 people, of which 275 are foreign specialists.

The overall state of the project implementation is 11.62 percent, design - 47.52 percent, procurement and supply of equipment - 9.79 percent and construction and installation work - 2.14 percent.

During the meeting, the main technical, technological, financial and economic indicators of the feasibility study of the project, their duration, as well as further measures aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of the investment project were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, it was especially noted that, based on the comments and suggestions of the members of the intersectoral scientific and technical council, as soon as possible, the feasibility study of the investment project "Increasing the production capacity of the Shurtangaz chemical complex" must be submitted to the State Unitary Enterprise "Center for Comprehensive Expertise of Projects and Import Contracts" Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
