Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 August 2022, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Hungary with residence in Vienna, Abat Faizullayev, presented his credentials to President of Hungary Katalin Novak.
The solemn ceremony took place in the presidential palace "Sandor Palota" in Budapest, followed by a tour of the guard of honor and making an entry in the Guest Book of the presidential residence.
During the brief conversation Katalin Novak expressed high awareness of the dynamic changes and large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. She also positively assessed the current dynamics of Uzbek-Hungarian relations, which reached the level of strategic partnership last year.
The President of Hungary assured of the desire of the Hungarian side to strengthen the ties of friendship and strategic partnership with Uzbekistan in all areas of mutual interest.
