The new Ambassador of Uzbekistan presented his credentials to the King of Norway

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 May, the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan, based in Stockholm, Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, presented his credentials to King Harald V of Norway, according to the “Dunyo” news agency.

Following the official ceremony, an audience took place during which the current state and prospects for deepening Uzbek-Norwegian cooperation in various fields were discussed, including politics, trade, investment, technology, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

During the conversation, the significant potential for expanding bilateral ties was emphasized, especially in key areas such as combating the effects of climate change, developing renewable energy, reducing poverty, and promoting active participation of women and youth in society.

It is worth noting that diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Norway were established on 10 June 1992.

It should also be recalled that Rahmatulla Nurimbetov arrived in Stockholm on 15 October 2024, as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden, and on December 4 he presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
