The National Palace offers to wider use of the online format to increase the professionalism of doctors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Chamber of Innovative Health Care and the BelMAPO Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education discussed the use of international experience to improve the qualifications of doctors in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The conference was also attended by members of the leadership of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers of Uzbekistan, as well as online directors and specialists of the territorial divisions of the National Chambers in the country’s regions.

As a sharp jump in distance learning in a pandemic has shown, this experience needs to be analyzed and applied, including where it has not previously been applied on a systematic basis. This was noted during the conference by the chairman of the National Chamber Rovshan Izamov.

In particular, at present, Uzbekistan does not apply the advanced training of doctors in the online format with the award of diplomas and qualifications. This was confirmed during the discussion by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers Munira Kasymova.

At the same time, applying the best international experience to increase the professionalism of physicians is also relevant today through the use of online platforms, for example, together with BelMAPO. R. Izamov said that the National Chamber is ready to use its resources to create such a unique online platform working with the Belarusian partners in an approved mode.

The initiative of the National Chamber was supported during the dialogue by Tatiana Kalinina, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at BelMAPO.

The parties discussed the possibility of trilateral cooperation with the aim of introducing the proposal on innovative training by the National Chamber.

As noted, the National Chamber is already implementing plans to attract foreign experts in various formats in order to improve the skills of health workers in the regions of the country. So, the Kashkadarya territorial subdivision of the National Chambers in the framework of partnership with the Stavropol Medical University (Russia) has been working together since September 2019. As the director of the territorial division, Shoira Nabieva, said during an online conference, with the participation of Russian specialists, cycles in nephrology and resuscitation were carried out, both in full-time and in absentia. Further training of doctors from Kashkadarya and neighboring regions will continue from September. The participants in this educational project emphasized the effectiveness of both traditional-format classes and online webinars.

Representatives of BelMAPO noted a number of areas that Belarusian specialists can offer, including the possibilities of an innovative simulation center, the experience of using which can also give a qualitative increase to the system of advanced training for doctors.

Participants of the online conference also discussed issues of the structure of institutions for advanced training of health workers, their accreditation, various postgraduate education systems, the possibility of cooperation in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Chamber and BelMAPO also noted great prospects for cooperation in a number of areas, including the development of telemedicine, webinars on the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection with leading specialists of the Republic of Belarus and others.
