Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The widespread false information about the start of military recruitment in Uzbekistan by foreign states has no real basis. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
Recently, information has been circulated in some social networks about the alleged recruitment of the military of Uzbekistan into the army units of foreign states.
“In this regard, we inform you that, in accordance with Article 125 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan are created to protect the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the peaceful life and security of its population,” the Ministry of Defense notes.
According to the Defense Doctrine, the policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of defense is based on the principles of non-interference in the internal affairs of other states, the peaceful settlement of possible disputes, the department emphasizes.
The Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan provides for an article (154-1) for entering, recruiting for military service, for service in security agencies, police, military justice or other similar bodies of foreign states.
In view of the foregoing, the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the military personnel of Uzbekistan, does not take part in hostilities outside the country. The widespread false information about the start of military recruitment in Uzbekistan by foreign states has no real basis.
