Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 May 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) headed by Prime Minister Andrey Tarasenko.

During the talks, promising areas of cooperation in the agricultural sector were discussed, including in the field of horticulture, seed production, agricultural science and education.

During the meeting, the parties reached agreements on the development of an Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Sakha on the organization of direct and systemic supplies of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Yakutia.

The Russian side announced its readiness to import Uzbek fruits and vegetables on a long-term basis.
